BERC Bangalore campus has been recognized as Authorized Research Center (Biotechnology Research Center, Rai Foundation, Bangalore)of the Kuvempu University, Shimoga, Karnataka, a state university recognized by UGC, as per order No. KU/AC-4/7513/2006-07 dated 2 nd Feb. 2007. Consequent to this recognition, BRC offers Ph. D. in Biotechnology/interdisciplinary areas of life sciences. During the current academic year (2007-08) BRC looks for registering candidates working in R & D centers of Industries/Faculty members in colleges/Research fellows working in projects sponsored by Govt. funding agencies. 

BERC Bangalore also offers Post Graduate Program in Bioinformatics/Biotechniques. This job oriented program is an autonomous course and of 48 weeks duration.
